First Annual Holiday Toy & Food Drive

DERWOOD (December 1, 2021) — Donte's Foundation will be hosting its first annual Holiday Toy & Food Drive December 6-15 to support families in need this holiday season.

Donte’s foundation will partner with Manna Food Center and the MCPS Kennedy Cluster Project to collect canned and nutrient-rich foods as well as toys and gifts for children and families.

Manna Food Center’s mission is to end hunger through food distribution, education, and advocacy. Together with their tremendous volunteers, donors, and partners they are fighting hunger, feeding hope, and helping our neighbors get back on their feet.

The Cluster Projects are a joint effort between MCPS and Montgomery County officials focused on maintaining and increasing family stability for students whose families are in crisis or in need of multiple supports outside of the school system, so that students may continue to stay fully engaged in school.

One of the top priorities of Donte’s Foundation is closing the wellness accessibility gap. This includes addressing food insecurity and ensuring the well-being of its community members.

The Foundation and its community partners have provided guidelines for donation, as well as a list of drop-off times at its Derwood location. They encourage all who are able to donate and join in providing for neighbors in need.
