We recognize that every student’s situation is unique, which is why we award both partially and fully-funded scholarships on a case-by-case basis.

 
 

Scholarship Details

The Student Scholarship Program offers tuition at a significantly reduced rate so that more students can enjoy the enriching and dynamic experience at Donte’s Boxing Academy. We understand that each student’s situation is unique, which is why we evaluate applicants on a case-by-case basis.


Scholarship Includes:

  • Reduced Tuition Rate: $100 (instead of regular tuition cost, $750) for partially-funded scholarships; in some cases we can fully cover tuition

  • Donte’s Boxing Academy classes, as well as supplemental activities including community engagement, literacy projects, and nutrition education events

  • Opportunity to work with Donte’s Foundation and earn Student Service Learning (SSL) Hours

  • Ongoing support and mentorship throughout the program


Eligibility Requirements

  • Student must be ages 10-18 by program start date

  • Student cannot miss more than three (3) classes during the quarter.

  • Student will be required to complete at least 5 hours of Student Service Learning (SSL) with Donte’s Boxing Academy/Donte’s Foundation. Opportunities to earn SSL hours will include assisting before and after classes or at academy events. We will provide a list of SSL opportunities for students toward the beginning of the quarter.

  • Please note that failure to meet eligibility requirements may result in the scholarship offer being rescinded and/or the student being dis-enrolled from Donte’s Boxing Academy.

 

How to Apply (Application Process)

  1. Submit BOTH the Student Application and Scholarship Application by the deadline. Please refer to the admission deadlines for the current admission season.

  2. Interview: Selected applicants, along with their parent or guardian, will be invited to interview with our team. Interviews are held virtually over Zoom and last approximately 10 minutes. The student and their parent/guardian must be present for the interview.

  3. Trial Day: Selected applicants will be invited to participate in a trial class to experience the academy. Performance on Trial Day, along with the application and interview, will be factored into the admissions decision.

Winter 2024: For this quarter we will only be awarding a maximum of 5 scholarship awards.

+ How are scholarships awarded?

We award scholarships on a case-by-case basis. We evaluate each applicant thoroughly to choose the most qualified candidate for the program, and we thoughtfully assess their circumstance to determine the level of aid. In most cases this will mean a reduced tuition rate ($100); in other cases we may be able to award a fully-funded scholarship.

+ How do we apply for a scholarship?

Scholarship applicants for Donte's Boxing Academy must go through our 3-round admissions process.

  1. Apply: Fill out and submit both the Student Application and the Scholarship Application by the deadline.

    Please refer to the deadlines for the current admissions season or season of interest.
  1. Interview: Selected applicants, along with their parent or guardian, will be invited to interview with our team. Interviews are conducted virtually over Zoom.

  1. Trial Day: Selected applicants will be invited to participate in a trial class to experience the academy. Performance on Trial Day, along with the application and interview, will be factored into the admissions decision.

    Students selected for the scholarship will be notified and provided with next steps to register.

+ What if my student is not selected for a scholarship?

We receive a number of financial aid requests and can only award a limited number of scholarships.

In the event your student is not selected for a scholarship, we encourage you to continue the application process for regular admission.

As an alternative, we provide flexible tuition payment plans for all admitted students. Payment plans make investing in your child's wellness possible with flexible, interest-free installments.
